While-task procedure

1. Introduce ¡®biscuit¡¯ and say ¡®biscuit¡¯ slowly..Ask students to repeat .
2£®T taste a biscuit,Say: Hmm, it¡¯s delicious . Do you like it? Please ask ¡®May I have¡?¡¯(°åÊé)
Put up the wallchart for page 8 . Tell a story like this:
Last weekend, Sam and May went shopping with their father.Then they decided to stop for a rest and have something to eat and drink. At a snack bar May looked at all the food¡ªnoodles,pizza,biscuit,and hot dogs.She asked the woman politely ¡®May I have a pizza ?¡¯ Sam and May like to buy food at snack bars-----do you ? What would you buy?
2. Explain the meaning of the expression ¡®May I have ¡¡?¡¯ Say the expression slowly and ask students to repeat.
3. Use the food on the table to get students to practise asking for things.
T: Look, I have so many biscuits .Do you want to taste it? Please ask me for the biscuit.

1£®Say it¡¯s fun to buy food ! Why don¡¯t we try it now ? Divide students into groups of three . Have one student be the shopkeeper and the other two be customers . The customers must ask ¡®May I have¡¡?¡¯ Then let them change roles.
2£®Report
